No man, you can't legally sell tapes you taped from the TV. You can sell commercial recordings as long as you haven't copied them for yourself.
Of course you can advertise them and as long as you make sure your buyer knows they're taped off the TV, they won't complain. BUT you run the risk of somone notifying ebay and having your advert removed as you will almost certainly be contravening ebay rules.
In reality it's not that big a deal, but legally speaking there is no way you can legally sell stuff you taped off the TV...
It's worth mentioning that the amount you will get for the tapes hardly makes it worth while, since you will HAVE to admit they are home recordings or risk getting bad feedback - no-one is going to hand over a bunch of money for a home recording...
Hope this helps

I sold a bunch of VHS tapes on eBay in lots of about 50. These were commercially manufactured tapes and many were still in the original cellophane wrapper. Others were pre-watched bought from Block Busters. I got about $1 a tape out of them.
Besides the fact that they are copyrighted and you cannot sell them legally, you probably wouldn't get much for them anyway. People would be afraid that the quality would not be very good and I suppose all the commercials are still in them.

You can sell anything - repeat, anything - on ebay. Well, as long as it's within their guidelines, of course. But you would be amazed at the trivial garbage people buy, so your vids would go well - go for it

Selling bootleg tapes is illegal.
If you're just going to throw them away, you could offer them for free on craigslist.
