Steve do you live in a fairly large city, or near one?
Call a clothing supply house; if you don't know where one is call and ask a major department store clothing department. Their buyer will know.
I go to a place called Joy. I buy my hangers there and they are reasonable, strong and durable. I haaven't had a metal hanger in my closet for over 45 years.
good luck

FREE ONES at walmart. I used to work there. They throw the hangers away. They put them in a shopping cart and take them to the back of the store and put them in a garbage crusher thing. So I started taking them. I use the regular ones for drying clothes and the ones with the clips hold sheets and pillowcases and pants and stuff. Sometimes towels, washrags, and socks. They're great. I have a huge collection and it didn't cost me a dime. When you see them just ask for them. They will give them to you. No problem.

Try your local Salvation Army Thrift Store. I get them there for 20/$1 and there's usually a huge, full bin of them.

Try Ikea. They have great prices. You may also want to try KMart. I guess it depends on what kind of hangers you want.
