I thought I taught him better than that. His personal relationships are none of my business, but I want to raise a son who has integrity and character. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get through to him why it is wrong to cheat without overstepping my boundries?

He is under age and still in the house.

since he's still under your roof you should sit and chat with him about this. what i would say is something like "i know you are cheating and i don't like it. this behavior reflects me and my upbringing of you. if you have a girlfriend you are cheating. if you are dating though, that's a different story. so if you'd like to see other people that's fine, but, don't commit unless you're sure this is what you want." give him the opportunity to fix it, and if he does not, then tell his girlfriend.

How would you feel if you knew your girl friend was cheating on you.? Pose that question and watch for the response..Take it from there. You should be able to fill in the gaps. If he reacts with a cavalier attitude, your sunk. If he appears to be upset at the thought, your on a roll.

hey he still is your son and you have if not the obligation, then at least the right to interfere.
Better get your relationship tensed a little bit than getting him turned into a jerk that has no sense of wrong.
I know that every family is different, but you can try talking to him.

Underage and living at home? Sure you have every right to sit him down and tell him what you think he is doing is wrong. We all want our kids to show compassion and intergity, along with a whole lot of honesty.

Sit him down and calmly explain to him how this is unacceptable behaviour. If he gives you attitude, beat some sense into him until he understands

I do not know his age. But if he cheats on his girlfriend, he just might cheat on his wife. He needs to know. Tell him he is your son.

Is he underage? Sure, sit down and chat.

If he out of the house and on his own? MYOB.
