Dolly Parton re-recorded this in or around 1973. I want the original by Jimmie Rodgers.

You can download it from iTunes. I just checked.

I did some searching and that's the only place I found a downloadable version, but I would bet that there are several others. It's on several Jimmie Rodgers collections (cds). You can buy those lots of places on the web.

I found one that has a sample you can listen to via streaming. I put the link to that page under "Sources" below.

By the way, the original title is "Blue Yodel #8", but I think that everyone called it "Mule Skinner Blues" and it stuck. I think the most famous recording of it is by Bill Monroe. I have a Bill Monroe anthology album and it's called "New Mule Skinner Blues" on that. I think he added some lyrics to it. I put a link to a page that has a streamed sample of that under "Sources" below.

There's a Wikipedia page on this song with a lot of interesting info. I put a link to it under "Sources" below. Here's an excerpt:

"Blue Yodel #8" (a.k.a. "Mule Skinner Blues", "Muleskinner Blues", and "Muleskinner's Blues") is a classic country song, co-written by Jimmie Rodgers and George Vaughn in 1931, and recorded first by Rodgers. It has been recorded by many artists since then, acquiring the de facto title "Mule Skinner Blues" after Rodgers named it "Blue Yodel #8" (one of his Blue Yodels). ...

The song tells the tale of a down-on-his-luck mule skinner, approaching "the Captain", looking for work. He boasts of his skills: "I can pop my 'nitials on a mule's behind" and hopes for "a dollar and a half a day".

It later became one of bluegrass creator Bill Monroe's signature songs, when he recorded it in 1939, singing all of Rodgers' lyrics and throwing in a half-dozen traditional blues lyrics at the end.
