The group workshop usually consists of improvisations, basic movement exercises, cold-readings and a short writing exercise.

It gives the auditors a chance to observe you in a group environment and provides you with an opportunity for you to size up with each other.

Just try your best. Good luck!

Don't worry about it. Workshops before auditioning is quite common. I've done this many times before. Usually you just sit down and read parts of the script with the other actors. This is a way to test the chemistry between you and the others. They're trying to feel you out and they will make suggestions or ask you to make certain movements or gestures, sometimes check your emotional skills. This can only make your audition better. When I went to a certain audition for a play we did a workshop before the auditions . When we finished I didn't have to audition and I got the part from the workshop alone. So, don't hold back, give it your best and most of all, have fun.

Audition workshops are relatively user-friendly. they'll bypass by way of a ridicule audition for my area with each guy or woman, and afterwards inform you what to alter, and that they could have you ever keep doing it until it is stable. it is great, using fact it fairly is guy or woman. additionally they'll clarify some common audition policies. they're plenty exciting and actually informative. once you assert they desire singers actors and dancers, do you mean for the coach or the workshop? If it fairly is for the coach, it fairly is a musical, you're able to be waiting to do all 3. If it fairly is for the workshop, it skill it fairly is a workshop for a musical theatre audition, and those are all factors of a musical theatre audition.

Since none of you will be able to prepare, and since all of you will be doing it together, you'll all be in the same boat, right? What's to panic about? As an actor, you need to be able to improvise and think on your feet. If you cant, you have no business in theatre to begin with.

I have no idea what, where, when, how, or why you are auditioning. Without more information, no one can answer your questions. Why not contact the group holding the auditions and ask?
