i want a LG chocolate cell phone but i have cingular....so if i want the phone, do i have to switch to verizon?

Yes, for the moment the LG chocolate is with verizon. Cingular has the CU 500, but no FANCY name. You be surprised that people buy phone names not the phone. You need to see what you want out of the phone. And what do you want to pay for a month bill too. Cuz the services are not free. Not check out pocket and cricket phones for unlimited minutes and text messaging. In Texas, a cricket service plan gives you Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Text Messaging, free long distance, free phone internet, free 3 way calling and free two way and caller ID. AND the best, NO CONTRACT. So if you are talking and texting this is the one for you. There is no phone plane of verizon or cingular that can beat this. And cricket and pocket companies have some nice phones.

So you will either have to wait till your contract is up to get the chocolate or maybe even the cricket instead.

yes chocolate is only verizon. but i have heard the chocolate sux ***. i have a friend who treats his fine and he has had 3 break on him in a month. and his battery on one craped out and he had to buy an extended life better because they dont last very long.

no, BUT, you will have to find an unlocked version of the phone which probably means ebay. unlocked means it can work on any network, and most phones on ebay if you look at them will say whether or not they are unlocked and which networks they work with.
