I recently read a story about a man who had received a jacket from his wife. He didn't really like it, but he wore it for her sake, because she liked it on him. He found himself buying pants, shirts and shoes to go with the jacket. The jacket ended up changing most of his wardrobe. When he told his wife this she said that that was the point to the jacket.
How do you chose gifts for your partner? Are you trying to change them, or just make them happy?

I usually ask his friends what he has been telling them what he is leaning towards in regards to a birthday/xmas/anniversary gift. No I never try to change his interests b/c then he wouldn't be the man i fell in love with. He would become my depressed robot if I told him to change or got him a gift to make him change. The only time I would ever want him to change is if he had problems with drugs or alcohol. Which my boyfriend doesn't, so there is and never will be a need for me to change him! Hope my answer helps!
