How do I recover a leather couch so that its not leather anymore?

I have an old leather couch that i hate. I dont want to take the original leather off the couch, but i dont want it to be leather anymore. How do i recover this couch without ruining it?

You won't like it any better covered. Leather sucks, covered it will be a trap for liquids, that won't dry.

Try a sofa cover. You can find nice one's at Wal*Mart for around $100 or less. I'm sure you can find them at Sears, JC Penny's etc...as well.
