This has been my dream ever since i was 9. Its all Ive got left. Im willing to do anything i need to accomplish this dream. but i need help. My parents are divorced so all i have is a single mom who can barely afford things to begin with. So my parents arent very supportive at all. Im all on my own. My daughter is a teen actress and I can tell you from personal experience that it's the hardest thing to get into! My suggestion would be to practice, practice, practice. Audition for all the school plays you can possibly get into, and join a community theater group. Even if you want to be a film actress, stage performance will help you hoan your craft. Also, if possible, take some modeling classes. They will help with poise and self confidence and could also get you into local television commercials. Enter pageants if there are any around your area. They are great to get your name out into the public. Prepare yourself to go to college and major in performing arts or theater. I'm sorry, though, to tell you that there is no "magic" to make it all happen for you quickly. Be prepared for LOTS and LOTS of rejection! Just don't give up. Follow your dream to where ever it might take you. Best of luck to you, dear, and I hope your dream comes true.

1.) Be confident, go in the audition room knowing your going to make this. 2.) SMILE(: directors love to see a big hollywood smile 3.) know your material, practice makes perfect and you want to nail the audition and make the directors want to hire you right there. 4.) show off your personality, when they ask you a question give them an answer that stands out from everyone else. 5.) it's okay to get nervous, but don't let your nerves get the best of you, be comfortable. Good Luck (: and also yes you should take classes, it's more experience and good for you.

I would talk to your theatre teacher and peers maybe they know of something close. Look on the internet and DON"T QUIT. Don't be afraid and give it all you've got! I'm also 14 and I want to be an actress and I know how hard it is to get going. Just try your hardest and you'll find something eventually. I wish you the best of luck! :)
