I live in canada (ontario!) and i am with rogers high speed xpress and im not happy with the speed. i heard bell was good but im not sure.....

The fastest internet are for large corporations that are too expensive for us regular people. I recommend sbc global, road runner, comcast and see if they're available in ontario, canada

Fast often depends on user load, just like the freeways.
T1 to T3 have the widest 'highways' but are expensive, so it is usually business or libraries etc, that have them.
Newer fiber optic in your area , with a still light subscriber base would be the fastest.

either cable modem or DSL. some ppl say DSL is the best.
