telling the truth doesn't always matter if your on about something small.(a white lie). telling the truth about most things if better as it will generally get you out of trouble. but you should always tell the truth about important or serious things.

I think you should always tell the truth, even if you will devastate the person or ruin their life. At least you can go to bed with a clear conscience.

from experiance only if u really have to as it will be you who gets the blame but then if you didnt tell and you got caught out then you can get in to just as much trouble ....
