What on Gods green earth are you on about. Irish people love talking and love talking to other people. Are you confusing Irish with Irish-Americans? If not you have encountered very weird Irish people. Oh and for the person that said we do not get on with Germans because of the war. Ireland was neutral and we get on great with other Europeans particularly the German French and Spanish. The only people we have problems with occasionally is English but we rarely show this disdain infront of them, this stems from a self righteous sense of self which tends to come out when the English are in large numbers.

hi ya!
well I'm an Irish woman! ha ha! i don't think there is anything wrong with talking to the Germans Italians french or Spanish. then again i was raised in Canada! Ireland can be a bit backward in some ways just as other countries can be. I think we need to gain a tolerance for other people even if they are being rude and selfish. I find that when I really begin to love myself and become tolerant of my own antics, i love and tolerate others more.

maybe you need to look at yourself...after all that's were it all begins and all ends. it's all up to you and the reality you make for yourself and the people you attract into your life.

good luck!

There's nothing wrong with the Irish people as a whole.

You probably just ran across someone who appreciates the value of basic literacy which, unfortunately, you don't really have.

A person who can form a gramatically correct sentence, complete with basic punctuation, is treasured by all nationalities... including the French.

Then again, maybe your just irritating on a more global level... who knows?

Probably a community thing. Like if you were Irish and living in a spanish neighborhood, you might get the same thing.
