Try Gloria Upson's monologue from "Auntie Mame." Gloria is this snobbish debutante from Connecticut, and she tells this "ghastly" tale about playing in a ping-pong tournament at her club! People have laughed at this monologue for years, because this story is funny only to Gloria, and you present in a way that this was the most embarrassing moment of this snob's life!
In fact, here is the monologue:
Gloria Upson:
"Mrs. Burnside, you could write a whole book about what happened to ME: Bunny Bixler and I were in the semi-finals - the very semi-finals, mind you - of the ping-pong tournament at the club and this GHASTLY thing happened. We were both playing way over our heads and the score was 29-28. And we had this really terrific volley and I stepped back to get this really terrific shot-- And I STEPPED on the ping-pong ball! I just squashed it to bits! And then Bunny and I ran to the closet of the game room to get another ping-pong ball--and the CLOSET was LOCKED! Can you imagine? We had to call the whole thing off! Well, it was GHASTLY! Just GHASTLY!"

Honestly...the worst place to look is online. try going to a book store, or the lib. but don't look for something funny. look for something in the comedic genre that fits who you are. if you try to force funny it will be the worst audition you will ever have!

go to the theatre section in barnes and nobles. they have some great monologue books. just peruse through those. find something you can relate too. it won't be as funny if its not emotions or feelings that you understand perfectly.
