When I exercise about a week before I'm supposed to start, I don't cramp. A heating pad helps, too. Laying on it even though the tag says not to helps lessen the pain.

My pharmacist told me to use a combination of Ibuprofen and Tylenol. The Ibuprofen is an inflammation-reducer and the Tylenol is essentially a pain-killer. This worked WONDERFULLY for my daughter every month.
BE SURE NOT TO COMBINE Ibuprofen with aspirin!!! Only Ibuprofen and Tylenol.
Take it as soon as you start to experience pain. You'll soon be smiling.

usually a good round of sex will relieve the muscle tention before you start. A good tylenol can help ,stay away from chocolate and go running ,that will help too . Or a good old fashioned hot water bottle on your belly to relieve cramps will help too.
Good luck to you .

You could try numerous things. There are heating pads, midol or Ibprofuen or exercise. You could also try a hot bath, it helps relax the muscles and hopefully that will stop the muscles from cramping up as they are.

Lie on your back, put a hot pack or a heated washcloth on your abdomen and take a couple of Midol. Drink lots of water and eat bananas, they reduce cramping, and avoid salt/salty foods.

Believe it or not. Sex is the best cure. For some reason when you have an orgasm, it overpowers with the contraction and takes it away. If your old enough, try it. You'll be amazed, that is if your not put off by it.
Also works for headaches too !!!

I had a friend that would sit at her desk at work with a heating pad on her abdomen to help relieve hers.
