Yes they can and do sting humans. Most however cannot break the skin and no harm is done. In your position I don't think I would risk it though. There are some commonalities between anemone venom and bee venom and why take such a big risk. Besides, anemones can and do more around, where you want him might not be where he will stay lol.
BTW, anemone vemon is sensitive to heat and breaks down quickly at above room temperatures. If you do ge stung soak the affected area and as much as possible between there and your heart in hot water. Use water as hot as you can stand without blistering yourself. This will reduce the amount of venom in you system quickly.

I've put my finger into many anemones at the sea shore. They close around my finger but I don't get stung. I guess they can't penetrate human skin. I've also seen them in "touch tanks" where people are allowed to touch them; after being touched a lot, they stop responding. In these cases, of course, they change the anemones in the tank now and then so they can rest.
However, apparently your anemone is one of those that can sting humans, since the pet store guy said he had been stung. People who routinely handle bees typically become immune to the venom also.
If you are allergic to bee stings, it is probably not advisable to touch the anemone.

RE:
Will anemone's sting humans?
I just bought my first Anemone and am not sure if I can touch it. I heard they sting but do they sting humans for just fish? Are they poisonous to humans? I am very allergic to bee stings so will they hurt me? The guy at the fish store said they do sting but he can’t feel them anymore because he is...

Reactions to anemone stings vary according to the person's sensitivity and the species of the creature that stung them.
With friends like you, who needs anemones?

Yes, they're very jealous of our mobility, and the variety of frozen foods available to us, while they're stuck on a rock, underwater, eating only seafood. This makes them malicious and unpredictable, approach with all possible caution, and try not to make any sudden movements.
