my new house smells like old people. please help?

When we moved into our house it smelt like dog. We got the carpets cleaned several times, but the smell never whent. then we put in new flooring. Now the smell is gone. when they pulled up the old carpet the smell was so bad I thought I was going to vomit. The flooring guy said sometimes cleaning the carpet can just make the smell worst.

Painting only covers up whatever's there causing the smell.

Invest in a cheap steamer and clean off walls.

DO remove whatever carpeting there is. There's no bigger stink collector than carpets.

Air out.

boil orange rinds, cinnamon & vanilla. This steam will go through the house and create a pleasant scent, (it also makes a nice cup of tea)

i might recommend which you keep the air in the abode circulating or purchase an air purifier of a few form. unsure if the latter might paintings although. comparable element's handed off to me previously in spite of if and nevertheless little as turning on and conserving a fan on for 8-10 hours an afternoon does wonders. unsure what else to assert. If it smells moldy, you have mould someplace.

I believe in bleach kills everything. Clean the carpet and wipe your walls down , air the house out and get some plug in airfreshners.

Use lots of Clorox Fresh Care, steam clean the carpet, burn candles.
