Pick one. Parents who want to be their friend other than a parent. Gross materialism. Schools afraid of hurting the child's self esteem. The fact that many children cannot write, spell or speak well. The fact that most children cannot relate to people in person, but on a PC are amazing. They relate better to themselves than to the world at large. By the way, this would be the slacking, non-achieving, lazy AMERICAN youth. The rest of the world knows better.

the greatest challenge facing the worlds children today is freedom. its a challenge to come home without being faced with buying drugs on the street, or some perve trying to talk to you (or possibly hurt you), what movies, shows, games, are appropriate to watch and play. when i was my son's age the most challenging thing for me was making sure barbie's clips stayed in her hair long enough!!
