You need to be sure to eject your iPod before unplugging it, otherwise your songs will not save on the iPod. What you do is go under your iPod tab in iTunes and click the eject button. Then you can uplug your iPod and your songs should be on there!
Good luck!

You must click 'eject device' on the software you are using to upload the songs before unplugging the ipod. It's best to stay away from Windows media player because its no good for ipod usage. Try using RealPlayer- which is much simpler, and lets you reset your ipod to its original state when you first bought it. Or you may also use the Apples ITunes as well. And don't forget that you must click the 'eject device' button before unplugging the ipod, thats when you are finish uploading the songs on the ipod.
