I don't think that devolution has, of itself, weakened unity. It will do so if Scotland does not move towards independence within a reasonable time. The English are already getting restless. We would be much better off having governmental independence under the British Crown. It works for over fifty other countries. It can work for Scotland. The links that Scotland and England do have can be preserved whilst giving each country the chance to govenr itself.
