The Book of the Dead was the ancient Egyptian book that prepared the Egyptians for the afterlife. It was about navigating death safely to whatever shore the Egyptians thought they'd haul up on. Since I consider the religion of ancient Egypt to be corrupt I consider the book morally corrupt and yes, evil is not too strong a word to attach to it. But I don't know about your stories. They sound like the things we used to scare ourselves with as kids -- ghost story type stuff. I don't know what you are asking about the bermuda triangle, but my dad was a navigator and there is some sort of magnetic anomaly there that sometimes plays havoc with ships and planes flying through the area. Nothing mystical.

The best way not to be afraid of the Devil is to believe in the God of Bible and to seek to turn from evil and to follow Christ.

There are 2 books that are referred to as the "Book of the Dead".
One is the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which is a funerary book. It gives instructions on the proper processing of a corpse; how to mummify a body, embalm the internal organs, the proper conduct of the funeral rites, etc.

The other is The Tibetan Book of the Dead, which is a book on how to conduct your life so that you may be properly prepared for death when the time comes. It also gives instructions on how to help a dying person face death. It gives prayers and sutras that can be read to the dying person.

The "devil" is part of the Judeo Christian belief system. Both Ancient Egyptian spirituality and Buddhism are much older than Christianity.

you are terminally mis-informed. no doubt by your fundamentalist friends and leaders? start thinking for YOURSELF, dude. start doing your OWN research, and stop relying on people who are ignorant and agenda filled vis a vis money and "power". the egyptian book of the dead is a very important document for people who are STILL ALIVE, as is the case with the tibetan version. they teach you, among other things, how to "travel" in other dimensions, competently--very important if you wish to be something other than a very average human which, sadly = "far less than could otherwise be"!! what is true is that if you don't make a serious effort to discover what being human is all about, the result will be a (somewhat) wasted life!! start here:http://www.crystallotus.com/ and http://www.montalk.net and good luck! ;-)

Seeing as neither the devil, the bermuda triangle, nor the book of the dead exist, I'd say you're COMPLETELY wrong on every front. Congrats.
