What's the message of the story. Do you see it as supporting any particular religion? Any thoughts?

Bill Murray's character transforms from one who lives unconsciously, kind of running on automatic pilot without thinking of others, to one who is conscious and intentional in his every action and is just as concerned with others as he is with himself. The message is if we want to reach our fullest and highest potential in our lives then we need to take responsibility for developing in whatever way necessary in order to get there.
No I dont see it having to with religion, although the message could be called a 'spiritual' one. Religion for the most part encourages its followers to follow the scripts of its dogma, not to actually develop consciously into fully creative, mature adults by looking within for guidance.

I guess the moral of the movie is to not take your life for granted. I don't see any religion involved but i would totally go ape on that radio .

well the significance of the movie was for "Bill Murray" to stop being so selfish and become a better person

it about being a better person. i've known christians who own it soley because they feel it represents them and what they socially strive for-but that could be applied to any religion or morally conscious person i think. it's a good movie though!

lololol, you must have WAYYYY too much time on your hands.lololol i thought it was a very insignificant movie that was mildly entertaining (once) i would never watch it again.

i can't even watch the movie. very stupid. besides, you watch the first part, then it just repeats. no message.
