I recomened getting a mouse without the ball in it. But if you won't do that turn the mouse up-side down. The ball will go to the top, and try cleaning the build up by gently scraping it with a toothpick or ear swab.

Unscrew the plate under the mouse releasing the ball. Use a cotten swap dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the inside of the mouse (the rollers on the sides that the ball makes contact with). Do not use alcohol to clean the ball however, you can simply rinse it off and clean it with soap and water. If alcohol is used on the ball it can decay it since alcohol breaks rubber down. Allow everything to dry, reassemble and test. If it still acts up I'd recommend just replacing it, the computer mouse is faily cheap anymore.

those mouses are old now. you should get a new mouse a best buy or something. it doesn't have a ball, it has this scanning device that coordinates you moving the mouse with the mouse moving on the screen.

For a couple of dollars you can buy a digital mouse - (light on the bottom), they were a lot better anyway.

unscrew the cap at the bottom of the mouse and then you should be able to clean it easily with something like a cotton bud

there is not any definitive note, 'Mice' and 'Mouses' are both used, yet neither experiment ideas-blowing. In answer to this question it grow to be pronounced that 'Rodents' be used, and that i have considered internet web pages the position those contraptions are labeled as 'Rodents' or 'guidelines'.
