Sounds funny, but that's the way it is...

The reason why people take jeeps and trikes is because it's a cheap fare. So if you would put an aircon inside it, then the fee will be more expensive, thus you defy it's purpose which is being cheap. Poor people will have no more public vehicles left for their use... so i'd say your idea is far from becoming true.

We have already aircon public jeepneys operating in Makati. The route is Guadalupe LRT Taft and others are within Makati area (Landmark or Glorietta). For tricycle, some converted their tricycle with a cab side car & put an aircon but its not for public.

There are many jeeps and jeepneys with aircon. However, aircon takes a considerable amount of power to run, a tricycle doesn't have enough power, unless, of course, it is 700 cc or better.

i guess that's possible, only costly...they once featured a sarao airconditioned jeepney i think that was the time when erap was still president, i'm not sure if they are operating now.

Well for the tricycle, it's possible too but it would be impractical for the operators - high maintenance, etc. Perhaps come up with a three-wheeled car (i remember they have that in japan since twenty years ago?).

Meantime the urban "breeze" for a warm humid climate suits the commuter just fine i guess! ;-)

Airconditioned jeepneys are already being used in Makati. I've been in one and it's not bad actually. It's more spacious than the ordinary ones. The one I took was carpeted both on the ceiling and on the floor. The temperature's okay for a very hot afternoon. You don't pay money directly to the drivers, instead, you're first gonna pay at the entrance and they'll give you color coded ships. That's what you're gonna give to the conductor. Kinda cool...

Oh yes, I saw some very cool, tricked-out Jeepneys over there with AC. They tell me alot of the jeeps in Makati City center have AC, because business people use them. A trike, I am not so sure of, and it would be a waste. Just my 2cents worth.

that thoroughly relies upon on the gap which you will journey. no rely if it somewhat is around the nook i might take a trycicle. no rely if it somewhat is interior city yet to no longer a ways from the course, i might take a Jeep. no rely if it somewhat is extra that 2 Jeep rides away, i might take a cab. no rely if that's totally a ways (Baguio-San Juan, LU/ Baguio-Manila), i might take a Bus. i've got in no way seen pedicabs right here although. i'm from Baguio.... or San Juan, LU.... distinctive distances call for various modes of transport. i wouldn't go with to sit down down 12 hours in a Jeep in simple terms to bypass to Manila, nor might I take a Bus from San Juan in simple terms to realize city center etc...
