There are so many Dem's throwing their hats in the ring, but who are the best Republican candidates? Guilianni is pro-choice, which will be a problem for the base. Rice isn't interested in running. McCain is just wacky and too middle-of-the-road for me. Anybody got any other options?

This is a middle of the road country, I think a middle of the road candidate like McCain could do quite well. Other than that... You're right, there aren't too many republican candidates at the moment. But there's still alot of time before the primaries.

I'm a liberal, but if an actual conservative got elected I'd still be ok with it. I think alot of people are tired of a liberal amount of government involvement for non progressive causes.

I don't understand how someone with a republican platform can be pro-choice. That is one of the MAJOR issues within the party. That alone would make me not want to support Guilianni. We do need a good candidate, somebody that is not in the Bush family, but someone who is willing to stick up for America.

Newt Gingrich. He is definitely the most down to earth politician who actually wants to work with everybody and really make this a better country. I don't think he would be in it for himself like so many other politicians.
