With my first child, my water broke hours before contractions started. I'd love it if the same thing happened with this baby. What are the chances? Has anyone had 2 kids, whose water broke first both times?

Actually, labor will be easier for you the LATER in labor that your water breaks. AND there will be less risk of infection this way. When you can labor with the bag intact it provides some cushion to your cervix so the contrax don't feel so intense. You can help grow a strong bag by having lots of vitamin C in your diet.

(And some babies are born with the bag intact. It's calling being born in the caul and is considered a good luck sign.)

Mine did... My water broke with my first, I went to the hospital & after a few hours of very few contractions they gave me pitocin to start them. Then my water broke with my 2nd (2 years 8 months apart) I went to the hospital, and had my baby with 3 hours, fast, contractions were easy too! I am expecting our 3rd & my OB says my odds are good the same will happen. Good Luck

No guarantees I'm afraid...!
With my first baby, my waters broke slowly and increased with every contraction.
With my second and third babies, my waters went in the bath and I didn't know, so my labour progressed thick and FAST.
(my advice? Avoid baths only shower the last few weeks!)
With my last baby, they took an HOUR to manually break my waters as she wasn't coming out - no WAY!
They broke my waters and hooked my cervix, it was AGONY.
The waters were bright red with blood but my baby girl was gotten out very quickly....

Just take it as it comes if I were you!!

Good luck!

With my first and second baby, my waters broke first, (both girls) then with my next 2 babies I had contractions first and waters didn't break until the last minute, (both boys).
The last baby was a girl and the labour was so weird it didn't fit into any category!

I think it really all depends! It would be nice if this happened though. Do you remember what you were doing when your water broke last time? Try to recreate the environment...

It really all depends on the baby though and how he drops!

Good luck and congrats.

Nope, only as each infant is distinctive, so is each being pregnant. My first, the water broke at abode, and that i grew to become into in exertions for 2 hours and had him. My 2d, went into exertions, yet no water, grew to become into on the wellness midsection in exertions and the oc rfile (not mine unfortunatley) positioned me on pitocin to attempt to interrupt the water quite of breaking it for me, finally 10 hours later the rfile finally broke the water for me, and had him not even a 0.5 hour later! My 0.33 grew to become right into a distinctive tale (toxemia a million month early so as that they broke my water and precipitated me). solid success!
