my last period was on Nov. 24th. My next period was due on December 22nd. The Doctor said that I concieved on December 8th. U can't conceive the day your period is late.. that is the day that you can test because the pregnancy tests will be able to pick up the pregnancy hormones.

It is unlikely to conceive the day that your period is due. By then, the egg has moved down the fallopian tube and is out of range of the sperm.
If you have had a positive pregnancy test, you are pregnant. The hormone that pregnancy tests look for (HCG) is not present in women who are not pregnant (unless you get pregnant and then miscarry quickly, which can happen). Do another test to be sure, but chances are that you are pregnant.
Your due date is calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period. There are lots and lots of places on the web that do the math for you... See sources. If you don't know the length of your average cycle, estimate it at 28 days. That's the average.
Know that babies are born within a 4 week window - so if your due date is January 1, you could have a healthy full term baby from December 17 - January 14. Don't get hung up on your due date, in other words, because if you go late you'll be losing your mind by January 4.

You would have conceived about 2-3 weeks prior to taking a pregnancy test. There is no way that it will show up that quick on a pregnancy test that you are pregnant just a few days after having sex.
However you can test 19 days after the day you think you conceived and get a positive result.

Congratulations. Get ready for the fun to begin.
You would have conceived before your period was due. It is called a cycle for a reason, there is a beginning, middle & end. The beginning is right after your period stopped, the middle is when the lining of your uterus is the thickest, the best conditions for the egg to implant and the end when you are having your period ie the shedding of the uterine lining. I read this amazing book about understanding how your body works and what it does what it does: Taking Charge of your Fertility. 5 star rating at Amazon with 889 reviews.

No it would have been to early! If you have a normal cycle you will ovulate( conceive) 14 days after day one of your period. So it would have made you conceived 2 weeks prior to your period roughly. Need more answers like the exact time tell me the last period when it finished and started and how long your cycles are.

I would think you conceived earlier than the day before your period, and you probably wouldn't get a positive result just 3 days later.

that would be to early. you would have concieved about the middle of your cycle. most pregnancy tests need about two weeks of you being pregnant to register a positive result.
