Yesh, it is more then enough..

I have a few malaysian and taiwanese friends came here and their starting pay is S$1200 to S$1400... And it is enough..

Rent - $300 for city area like tiong bahru, Bishan, Redhill etc... If further more cheaper
Food - Food in singapore consider cheap.... DOn't worry...
Electric bills - for a single person is only less then $80per month...
Trasport - $120 and enough for one month...
Total above around $600 to $700... ALways remmeber to save in case.. ok? Spend a bit on shopping to reward yourself....

Take care and all the best..

Hi, you can get a room for $3-400 a month. Adding on electric and phone/internet, maybe $150-200 will be good enough. So that should leave you something to buy your food and transportation. Public transport can cost you $50-100 a month, depending on the distances.

Hope I had given you a clear picture to your question.

pooja in singapore rent is the most expensive internet biils, phones, mobiles are not costly .if you cook at home or you eat outside its same price most of the people eat outside its more convenient we got good food stalls all over the island. $1200 is not enough for you either you do part time job or you stay with a group of single people on sharing basis. single room apt will be around 400 to 800 sgd.

If you make a budget and stick to it. I don't know what type of rent you will need since everything is so expensive.

You might need to get a part time job to help supplement your living expenses.

Good luck.
