Check your Hardware Device manager and make sure you don't have a ! or ? next to it. If you DO, delete the driver and reboot; the computer will try to reload the driver.

If that doesn't work, you can try restoring to a date before the problem started. Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Restore

You might look on your paperwork and find the mfg of your USB card and see if you can download the drivers. If also could be the card itself.... You can try 'reseating' the card (pulling it out and pushing it back in)l... and fortunately USB cards are cheap - so for a few bucks you can get a new card. That would be my last option though. I'd try other things first.

First, check Device Manager to make sure the USB controllers are working properly. If you are using Win98, you may have to download USB drivers, since Win98 supports USB but doesn't automatically install the drivers. I believe all later versions of Windows detects USB automatically.
