to open up the cheat box hold down:Ctrl+shift+C
money: motherlode
move objects that aren't movable and sims:
move_objects on

type in this cheat in the neighborhood area:
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
and go back into the house and SHIFT CLICK the mailbox and select Make All Happy and all of your sims need bars will go up.
and use that cheat to SHIFT CLICK the newspaper to easily select a job.
and SHIFT CLICK other sims and yourself for more cheats.
and will the boolprop cheat you can move there need bars,relationship bars,skills,and interests bars up and down..and you'll need to type in the boolprop cheat in BOTH neighborhood and house areas in order for it to work.
those are the cheats i foud most helpful but there are other ones too...look them up or ask a question on this site:

Moveobjects on/off Allows you to move unmovable objects
Aging on/off Sims won't age
StretchSkeleton Make your sim smaller or higher 2.0 double size 0.5 half size

intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims 8 You can invite more guests to a party...use in your neighborhood screen.

boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true/false Use false to place objects out of grid. Careful with this one!

boolProp constrainFloorElveation true/false Use false to make it possible to raise or lower the floor even when there are objects, flooring or walls on it.

Vsync on/off Turning off increases game performance but with some graphical errors.
