The only positive way to tell the sex of a snake is to pop or probe it. These should only be done by an experienced herp vet or other EXPERIENCED herper. If you want to learn how you can learn from these people. DO NOT try this yourself because there is a serious chance you can severely injure the animal.

Go to your local reptile specialist shop as they will know how to pobe a snake without hurting it. A vet could also do this but make sure that the vet has experiance with snakes.

It is probably best to bring it to a vet they can tell you but the snake needs to be of a certain age and a certain size most of the time. a person without experience won't be able to tell for sure and won't know how to do it correctly without hurting the snake.

popping take ur thumb and apply gentle pressure to underside at the base of the tail firmly but gently roll ur thumb upward (toward the snakes vent)if the snake is male the pressure will "pop" both tiny hemipenes from their sheaths. if female only two tiny dark dots on each side will show. it is painless if done gently & properly

If it is young then there is only one way to tell

Look at the under side of the tail and if it has a bump, it is
probably a girl, but if it is straight down to the tip thenit is
probably a boy.
