According to that site the rate of growth in population is 1.14%
Since that was 7 months ago I would addat least another million people for accurate statistics for 2007. That's IF you want to believe those statistics.

Personally, I think the statistics are wrong. There are a lot more people on the planet than 6.5 billion. There are tribes in Africa, jungles and other places on the globe that are not even counted into the census. Even in the modern world, not everyone fills out a census sheet. Many people throw them in the garbage. We can never get a truly accurate number of the population with the current methods we use. For now we have to guess. Also the signs on most cities are wrong and outdated. Toronto Ontario Canada for example still says that there are only about 3 million people living there. That sign has been up since I was a kid, and there are FAR more people then that just in that one city. It's probably quadrupled what the sign says and this is fairly common for a lot of places.
