It means that you don`t make stupid choices, you don`t take pointless risks, you pay attention to whats thats going on around you, you handle things and don`t just quit if its too hard, you set goals for yourself and do your best to reach them, you look to the future not just live in the present...... I`m sure that there`s more stuff that I`m forgetting. Its a long list. A lot of adults aren`t very mature at all.

Maturity is how you handle situations and the choices that you make and taking responsibility for what you do and being accountable also. Age is really irrelevant to maturity. A 45 year old can be as immature as a 9 year old.

Technically, it has been established that the thinking, aka decision-making skills, of the typical human does not mature until the age of 26. Until that time, though you may feel very mature in many ways, it's a good idea to seek advise from your trusted elders on all important life-changing choices. Really.

Maturity has little to do with age and everything to do with how someone acts, thinks and treats others. My older brother (who's in his late 30s) is less mature than my younger sis (who's 18). He just doesnt have the same level of common sense, awareness of other people's feelings or ability to act in a manner that one would consider responsible. He's immature..plain and simple!!!

Just because you're 17, doesn't mean you're mature. I have an uncle who is quite immature and he's 52. If you have to ask, chances are you have a bit more to go.

Maturity is a life-long process, not an age you reach. Our ultimate goal is to mature into children of God, washed clean in the blood of Christ.
