Hate Needles. Apprehensive about this Blood Test.
Can a nurse comfort me - whilst the Phleb does it ?

Blow blow blow through your mouth. I hate needle and I had three kids and previous and upcoming surgeries. Sometimes we make it harder on ourselves that we have to. They use these butterfly needles that don't hurt as much. Don't tense your arm you could blow a vein then They have to reinsert it. That happened to me when I was getting my IV.

Honey- don't freak out. Nurses deal with people like you all of the time. I am afraid of needles too. I usually look away and breathe through my nose. Before you know it- she's done! And you barely felt a thing. I now have a tattoo. I conquered my fear.

Depends on the nurse. Most are very comforting, I don't like needles either (despite being covered in tattoos.. blood being drawn makes me ill). Just don't watch and you'll be ok.

lol, ull live. its only a short pinch. but over everything else. dont jump when the needle pokes you. it can hurt even more. just take deep breaths and dont look

It helps if there is someone in there you can talk to. Like just start a conversation and then you will probably not feel it that much.

i hate this too i shake and sweat , i refuse them, which is your choice ,depends what the test is for? i get sooo nervouse ,,with political correctness you`d be lucky if you got sympathy!!!
