I was a passenger on a cross-country flight in 1971, and one of the engines caught fire. I looked out the window and saw it, so I asked the guy next to me if this was normal. He didn't know, so I activated the call button for the stewardess. So I asked her "Is the engine supposed to be on fire?" She turned white, strapped herself into a safety seat in the back and made a call to the pilot. They landed the plane about 10 minutes later (almost certainly with the other engine) and I learned that they knew there was some trouble with that engine before our flight even took off.

Living thru 3 hurricanes one right after another. Charlie and those other 2. No power for 2 weeks. When the hurricane was about to hit I went in the bathroom to put some regular clothes on so that I would not be in my p.j.'s. A second later it's just what everyone says; it sounds like a freight train is coming thru your house and the house shook for about 10 seconds. My house didn't get damaged but I'll never forget it. A couple of nights ago there was a tornado watch here in Palm Coast, FL. My daughter said she heard something really weird coming close so her and the 2 kids went in the bath tub with pillows and blankets on top of them and I grabbed our dog and we all were in the bathroom waiting. I came out after 10 minutes when we didn't hear anything and all was fine. Nothing happened but scared the crap out of everyone.

i became into driving an SUV down the interstate with my mom and nephew in the automobile. We have been immediately beside a semi truck--my automobile in the alternative lane based between the front of his truck and the lower back of his truck. The dude in basic terms starts off to merge over in the lane like we weren't even there. I swerved, honked the horn, and placed my foot on the gas so as that with a bit of luck i might desire to get removed from him. I slightly made it previous him. If I hadn't been paying interest to the line or if I had looking lower back at my nephew or over at my mom for a chop up 2nd we would have all been lifeless. My adrenaline became into pumping so puzzling and that i became into so indignant the superb option afterwards that i might desire to have strangled that driving force to dying without blinking a watch. yet then i found out how close we had come to death. incredibly my nephew he became into in basic terms 3 y/o. The scariest section became into the concept-approximately something happening to my nephew.
