The only wild primates in Europe are about 300 Barbary Macaques living on Gibraltar. (Gibraltar isn't really a country. It is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom, and there is a legend that if the monkeys ever disappear from Gibraltar, then the British rule will end there, too.)
