I am white. My girlfriend of 2 years is Namimbian. We met while working for an investment bank in Europe. She is very down to earth pesonality wise; so, I was very surprised to hear her opinions on African Americans. Basically, she is racist towards them and despises the fact that they feel entitled to uplift themselves by exploiting the various African cultures. She hates when they try to create a rappor with her just because she is black. She claims historica conflicts that make her disagree with their claims of oppression and such. Simply, she believes all that has happen to them is their fault, and reparations of any kind are unjustful. I'm shocked at such things and honstly never expected it because I assumed the bond as well. I argue while some of her pints are valid, she still fails to appreciate the history from an American POV. She thinks AAs represent the obnoxious when it comes to American stereotypes abroad. Any AAs have experiences with Africans like this?
