I'm twenty-two and spent four months in Barcelona- some time with friends, some time alone, and some time with family. I have a website about my favorite things to do and places to eat. It's got lots of photos, opening hours, directions and prices. The link is below.

The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing.
Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece. the unfinished Sagrada FamÃlia Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club.

The whole city is a treat.
Slowly walking through all the side streets can be even more interesting than a guided tour through the tourist stuff. It's been 20 years or more since I've been there, but a place that old doesn't change much in that short a time span. The beach is nice, but stay away from the waterfront elsewhere.

Hey Beautiful G, Barcelona rocks!! I go there on vacation atleast 2 times a year sometimes more.
For lodging the best site I have found is:
http://www.bookings.es
Hotels are listed but also shown on an interactive map and guest reviews.
City information:
http://www.barcelona.com
and
http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/
But a must see is a short trip outside the city. Montserrat monistary

Have fun, what a lovely and friendly place.

I went with a few friends in december and it was great. We stayed on las Ramblas which was really near to loads of shops up in the plaza, and down in the shopping centre by the pier at the bottom. It was also really near to loads of bars. If you're interested in sight-seeing while you're there you can get the tour bus and get off where you want to. I posted a review on a couple of things on http://www.trivago.co.uk if you're interested.
