Who knows how accurate some of the online rumor mills are but between those and mainstream newspapers the last few days it seems like the yankees. At a recent speech he said he was doing a poor job of retiring and was planning on starting three weeks earlier this year. He is also going to be meeting some yankees next week in Fla. He also said he would be in NY in April to watch Pettite pitch a game or two so I think that's a fair indicator. Plus if he's coming back it has to be a contender and the stro's just don't look too good on paper right now. Plus he's already done the whole playing ball with his son thing so if he comes back it's to make a serious run for a ring and the yankees have offense for days and Rivera who no matter how old he gets is still Rivera. Boston I still think has a shot but in the end I think his friendship with Pettite might be the swing vote.

As much as I respect what he has done for the game I'm getting a little tired of this "pitch or no pitch" scenario. Maybe people think he deserves to be treated special but the fact is baseball is a team sport. You either want to be a member of a team or you don't. The season runs from Feb. when pitchers and catchers report until your team is either eliminated from the playoffs or wins the world series or somewhere in between. The season does NOT begin in June. If Clemens cannot commit to a full season then he doesn't belong in the major leagues anymore.

Yes he will pitch for the Yankees this year. I think he will pitch Home games or games where he doesn't have to Travel to Far. Games in Philly, Baltimore, NY subway series, and BOSTON. If he pitchs those away games plus home games he would be a great addition to the Yankees. They would not really need him to pitch on the road. Any games Clemens pitches for the yankees is a HUGE plus.

Yeah, right like he did the last time when he left the Yankees for the Astros. If the Yankees take him back this year, especially now that he's like 45, I will lose respect for Steinbrenner.

He'll pitch the last half of the season for the Astros, deciding to stay in the organization that employs his son.

I think he'll pitch this year for the Yankees. They will offer him the most money and his good friend Andy Pettitte is back in NY. Robinson Cano switched his number, so if rocket returned he could have number 22. That isn't the reason why cano switched it though, i doubt.
