Whose "demand" is it? Yours, your parents, the school, or is it a requirement for futhering your education? I agree that all of that at once is too much, but respectfully I'd have to know all sides of the issue to be fair. If you'd like to do all these things but want some "fun time", talk to the person / people making the requests and see if they will let you cut the course load down some. Take all of this a little at a time. Tell them you want to do your best and that you feel that you can't, because of the demand of the load, if you take everything you listed all at once. Good Luck!

I think you should be excited that your 7th grader wants to read at all. Just make sure they arent romance novels and be excited, you've done something right. When I was in 7th grade I read at a college level, some of the stuff I read wasnt age appropriate, but the fact that she reads for fun is wayyyyy more important than what she is reading.

I totally agree, depending on the kid. Some sadly never had a childhood. So it isn't too much because that is normal for them. Can't really suddenly develop a childhood. I could see learning Latin, basis of alot of languages and will help if the kid wants to learn them, and maybe karate OR Violin and Piano.

Are you the 7th grader taking these subjects? If so, check your grades, and also talk to your parents. You are almost to the middle of 2nd semester, hang in there and work hard and then next year, be more choosy about your courses. If all you want to do is screw off with your new friends who are cooler than your last group of friends, then next year schedule yourself time for everything, while keeping your grades up. Give yourself time for everything. But remember, this is your ONLY CHANCE FOR THE FREE EDUCATION. After 12th grade is finished, if you finish, the free stuff is gone.

Definitely. Drop the Latin and Chinese. Latin's a dead language anyways, and Chinese is one of the hardest ones to learn. Trust me, I know, I'm Chinese. My parents forced me to take Italian when I was in grade school, and since I live in Ontario, I was forced by the school system to take French. That's four languages I had to learn when I arrived in Canada (I was five at the time). It was not easy and bloody confusing.
At least with the violin and piano, it stimulates parts of the brain to improve your thinking abilities in things like math. And martial arts gives you confidence in yourself. Both of those are very important things in life. Again, Latin is a dead language; therefore, useless.

That is entirely to much..its called overscheduling. It leaves no time for down time. And being 7th grade where social skills and other things are evolving I think that it would be better to scale it down to one language, and instrument..but, keep the karate. This frees up some time to pursue other things.

what I would do is to go to Karate twice a week instead, and only do 1 language.
