best case scenario: ticket price by team by year for the American Association and the National League. Second best scenario would be the regular admission price for as many teams as possible during the 1880s. The best evidence I have is that the National League set admission prices at $0.50 in 1878/1879 which may or may not have pertained to the entire decade of the 1880s. I have found no evidence of what the American Association teams were charging.

The data would be used in academic research and appropriate attribution would be provided.

I can recall reading some info about this when we toured the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but that was over 10 years ago!! It seems that the price back then ranged from 10 to 25 cents depending on seat location, or actually having a seat!

You may get some good info from the HOF, also , I think there was some mention of pricing in Ken Burn's documentary "Baseball" , that aired on TV in the early 90s. It was a 9 part show (duh) but it was segmented by era, so may be easy to locate that info. Good Luck!!
