You have to take an average of more than a week. On AVERAGE, 2006 was the warmest year ever (or close - I forget).

But yes, let's bring some of the global warming back now. I have to go sailing tomorrow in Annapolis and it's supposed to be in the 20s!

Global warming doesnt necessary mean that it will be hot outside. What it means is that the Earth's core is warming. This melts the icecaps and it will start to alter the Earths climate. And the extreme temptures will get greater in some places. Like it will be extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter.

This is more of a bigger picture problem. Just because the tempature is X today doesn't mean much of anything. If you earn money on tips, do you average your earning on one tip? Today's temperature is factored in with yesterday's and the day before and so on until the trend shows up to support or discredit a scientific claim.

According to some scientists, the cold is caused by global warming. I know, it doesn't make any sense.

I believe we will experience record cold weather in some places as well as record warm weather in others . Even though its jacked up, it has to be balanced .
