any mouse will make a good pet. they are usually between three and five dollars depending on your local pet store. they are fairly easy to take care of. they need a food dish, water bottle, bedding(never pine or cedar as they release phenols which are toxic to rodents), a place to sleep and toys. from my experience breeding and raising mice that toys catagory includes you. the cage can range from an aquarium to a cage with bars with very little space between them (mice will escape if they can get their head through because of their collapsable rib cages) to a habitrail cage. if you have any questions you can e-mail me.

mice are very easy to take care of no matter what kind you get. I would get some kind of hamster cage but be careful they can chew threw the plastic. If you decide to get two make sure they are the same sex or you will have more then two mice in no time. You should cage the letter about every 3 days so the cage doesnt start to smell. Mice don't cost a lot.

Any mouse from the pet store should be good as a pet. I prefer animals that are not albino, they are healthier on average. I prefer an aquarium tank with a screen lid; mice smell a lot so change the litter frequently. (Rats don't smell as bad.) Make sure they have a wheel, this is really important for their happiness. They are really acrobatic.
They gnaw on things, including the wheel, the food bowl, and the water container, so don't worry about it.

mice are like furry fish. You put them in a glass aqaurium, give them food and water and maybe a wheel...thats it. They are about $3 and they last about 6 months. They can chew through plastic cages
