When I got mine, what helped me the most was simply reading the manual from my local DMV.

There may be slight variation in tests because each state (include Wisconsin) has it's own exam questions. However the CDL is governed by the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986, which established minimum national standards all states must meet. I found a CDL practice test that goes beyond those minimums, making sure that you’re prepared no matter where you live. They have actual, (current and updated), questions that you will find on the tests Nationwide.

You must read the drivers hand book printed for CDL licensing in your state. Forget about the practice test. Have someone throw out about 25 questions at you and see how well you do answering them.

The best thing you can do is study the book. Common sense will also take you a long way in your test.
