Billy is right it is not possible for a monitor to store a virus. The monitor will only display what it is being told to display on the screen by the computer. The only place on the computer that a virus can live is the hard drive. A virus can infect your computers RAM but that memory is erased every time you shut down or reboot the computer.

No it is impossible for a Monitor to carry a virus because it has no hard drive or memory system which is necessary for a virus to attach to. I'm not sure what kind of problems your having but it may be something about where you are plugging the power cord in to the wall, sometimes that will cause it to shut down for almost no reason
Hope that helps.

Monitors do not have viruses, but you likely allowed the same virus into your new processor. Monitors just show a signal.

A monitor has no memory, therefore, it can't carry a virus.

No, the monitor itself can't. It's always in a program that was in your computer.
