I use CritterCare for my hamster. I've had her for a year and 1 month. She has never been sick. I don't like the pine and cedar beeding because it can cause the animals health problems and it can hurt their eyes.
By the way, they can be allergic to some beddings and foods...that's why the sneeze.

definite. they could reason liver failure in small mammals (which contain hamsters and guinea pigs) and that they could reason respiratory problems all using fact of fragrant oils. those are present day in the two cedar AND pine. Aspen is a secure woodshaving to apply that has few or no fragrant oils. It won't unavoidably kill your hamster, yet a safer determination is (as I already mentioned) aspen or a recycled source (you will hit upon those at maximum puppy shops, even if i desire to recommend procuring the shavings or bedding from a keep that would not sell pets, like a feed keep).

Amazing, my son had hamsters and they just kept on living. We had one for 21/2 years before he finally kicked the bucket and everyday he used cedar bedding. I guess he finally got cancer or something toxic! He was a cute pet but i heard they don't live to long anyway! When we got him they told us a few years, if we were lucky.

Yes, I have heard this, but for many years I used cedar shavings with no noticeable ill effects. The cages were well ventilated, though, and I gave them tissues which they built nests with. There is quite a variety of litters nowadays.

I would reconmend pine bedding cause its soft and fuffy and also get rid of alot of oders ur pet might have. Ive had hamster and i used the white pine bedding that u can find at petsmart for about 5 to 10 dollars but its really great.

I use pine for my guinea pig. In the books it says it is better for their lungs. You can buy pine at any local pet store.I am glad I helped.
