1. Some of the early signs of pregnancy are minor "dizzy spells", fatigue, or often painful, tender breasts. These signs usually occur before the classic nausea. 2. When the baby is big enough, you will feel it. Usually around 5 months. 3. Some babies are more active in the womb than others. My son was a bit lazy; sometimes I wouldn't feel him move for hours. My daughter seemed to be having a party in there, especially when I was trying to sleep. You will first notice it as a "fluttery" feeling; you will wonder if it is the baby or if it is gas. As the baby grows, it will become unmistakeable. Occasionally it will be painful- those little knees and elbows and heels can jab pretty hard. But it is just a momentary pain. 4. You will eat more. Your body and your baby's body need you to. The baby will take the nutrients it needs first; your body gets what is left over. So you need to eat extra to make sure there is enough for both of you. Once you get over the nausea- and some people never have it in the first place- you will find that food has never tasted so good in your life. 5. You don't have to get rid of your cat. Have your husband change the cat litter. If he can't or won't, then wear disposable gloves and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. 6. If you think you're worrying now, it is nothing compared to when you are pregnant. Nothing brings out your insecurities like having another life completely dependent on you. Just remember that some worry is healthy and natural. You will get through it. 7. Having a baby never makes sound financial sense! If everyone waited till they could afford a child to have one, there would be a heck of a decrease in the population. Only the super-rich would reproduce. As you suggested in your question, no one can "afford" them. We have them and work hard the rest of our lives to provide for them. 8. If you never get morning sickness, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. A few people never get it and a few people have it almost their entire pregnancy. For most people, it comes on early in the pregnancy and goes away around the fourth month. Mine was "typical" morning sickness- I would throw up early every morning, and by 10:30 or 11 AM, I would be ravenous. But before that time of day, even the sight of food on TV commercials would make me sick. 9. No one chooses to have a c-section, but they may become medically necessary if there are complications. That said, some doctors have a bad habit of overusing them. You need to have a doctor you trust, and talk it over with them well ahead of time. I believe my doctor forced me to have a c-section because her office was overbooked. The advantages for the doctor are that they can get the procedure over with in 20 minutes, as opposed to being on call all day or night for a natural delivery; also, they get paid more, because they have performed a surgery. Put a lot of research into the doctor you choose, and then you can rest assured that if they tell you you need a c-section, it really is medically necessary.

I think you need to relax and calm down!
1. If your planning on getting pregnant then you will have to stop taking birth control, it kills any change of conception.
2. At a point all pregnant women feel their baby's move.
3. You may not feel the movements right off but you will and the farther along you are the more you will feel...you'll know.
4. Eat the same as you do now, hopefully healthy since your planning this. Never eat like your eating for two...huge mistake.
5. You don't have to get rid of your cat but your husband will have to change the cat litter.
6. You are defiantly worrying too much!!
7. Start saving now, babies are expensive no matter how much you make. Make sure your covered by insurance before you become pregnant!!
8. If you don't get morning sickness~that's a good thing! It's horrible!
9. Everyone wants a natural birth but some times things go wrong and they have to perform a c-section, for the sake of the baby and yourself.
I think you should buy a pregnancy book of what to expect and to learn what it takes during pregnancy, labor, birth and parent hood.
*And start taking prenatal vitamins now, you can buy them anywhere.

I was previoulsy was on depo. I've also been pregnant (by choice) 5 times. First thing to do-GET OFF DEPO!!! It can take more than a year to get a period once off of it, let alone get pregnant. My recommendation is to talk to your doctor about another form of birth control (mine put me on birth control pills). This allows the depo to leave your system, but you will still be protected by the new birth control method. Also, start on folic acid now. It can only help you.
The first sign you will notice that you are pregnant is a missed period. You should be able to feel the baby kick (depending on your weight) between 16-20 weeks. Thinner people usually are able to feel it earlier (why I do not know). In the beginning, it will feel like butterfly wings. If you miss that (which many do), the stronger kicking is IMPOSSIBLE to miss.
In regards to eating, you would eat more, but not "for two". Basically, you need the equivialent of an extra sandwich and a glass of milk a day. Watch eating too much, because too much weight gain can cause problems.
You do not need to get rid of the cat, as long as you are not the one to do the litter. You cannot touch the litter (the litter is not the problem, it is the presents in the litter!!!)-have hubby change it for you to keep the baby safe.
It is perfectly normal to be worried, because you want everything to be done perfectly right. I had 4 kids on one income-you just afford it. We also got WIC at one point to help. They really don't cause much, except for daycare. Also-if you wait until you can afford it, you'll never have kids!!!! If you never get morning sickness (I didn't)-thank your lucky stars!!!!!
With the no-C-section thing-I will put it this way. Which is more important: a healthy baby delivered by c-section or possibly delivering a dead baby or one with massive trauma do to being forced to go through the birth canal when it shouldn't have. I hate to be blunt, but this is a true situation. The doctor will adhere to your birth plan as much as they can, but the baby is also their patient and they have to do what is best for the baby, too. A birth plan is just that-a plan. Things don't always go as planned. Keep your eye on the prize-a healthy happy baby!
Good luck! I hope this helped!!!

Pregnancy is different for everyone.
1. You will know you are preg. when you don't get your period and your breast will ache like nothing before.
2. you should feel a baby flip or kick lightly at around 20 weeks pregnant.
3. Trust me--you will know a kick when you feel it!!!!!!!
4. You'll eat more. You should eat about 350 cal. more. Yes, you'll gain weight and the dr. will want you too.
5. No don't get rid of her. get someone else to deal witht he litter box. Period.
6. Just do it. But honestly, you'll be a great mom if you are already worrying about how you'll be as a parent!
7. No one can ever afford one. Listen, you'll have a baby shower. you'll register at babiesrus and you'll get everything you'll need. if you are catholic and want to baptize the baby, you'll throw a party and everyone will come and give the baby bonds. You''ll get a college fund going. Formula is expensive. Maybe you want to breastfeed. I didn't. And my children are fine.
8. Hoory if you never get morning sickness. Pray for that!
9. No way. You cgdon't get to choose the c-section part, if the dr. thinks that your baby is in danger or too big for your body to deliver, you'll need one. Don't worry I had two c-sections. Drugs work. You will recover quickly.
Get the book - What to expect while you are expecting. Read it. You'll be more at ease. Good luck!

LegacyGirl,
Whoa! Take this one day at a time and enjoy your pregnancy when you decide to get pregnant. This is a big adventure you may be taking in your life and when you are ready believe me the answers will come. When your period stops you are looking at about ten months of pregnancy, counting the time before you find out you are pregnant. I will answer one of your questions though. If you wait until you can afford to have children you will never have children. No one thinks they are ready financially.

You do have a lot of questions. My husband and I were the same way as well. We went to the book store and picked out a good book and read it together. It answered all our questions. That would be your best bet because you have such a variety of questions. Oh, and you do not have to get rid of your cat, just have your husband change the liter and you will be fine. good luck!
