Well you want to get x alone right, so you start by moving one of the x variables over to the other side. if you move the 1.3x then you will subtract it (because 1.3 is a positive and you do the opposite operation to get rid of the number) but what yo udo to one side, you MUST do to the other side to balance it out. like this
0.7x=1.3x-1.2
-1.3x -1.3x
so now, 0.7 - 1.3 = -.06, so -0.6x
now your equation is
-0.6x= -1.2
now you an easy to solve equation.
to get the x alone, you must do the opposite operation, so since it is -0.6 MULTIPLIED by x, you will divide, by BOTH SIDES
-0.6x/-0.6= -1.2/-0.6
now x=2
NOW check it to make sure it is right-plug in 2 for all the x's
.7(2)=1.3(2)-1.2
Simplify 1.4=2.6-1.2
1.4=1.4
so x=2!

0.7x=1.3x-1.2 is the same as
1.2=1.3x-0.7x (add 1.2 to and subtract from both sides)
that means 1.2=0.6x (1.3x-0.7x=0.6x)
and if you divide both sides by 0.6 you get
2=x or x=2

0.7x = 1.3x-1.2
you first have to get the numbers with the x together on one side so you subtract 1.3x from both sides
0.7x=1.3x-1.2
-1.3x -1.3x
So then 0.7x - 1.3 x = -0.6
so then you have...
-0.6x = -1.2
You need to get the X by itself so since -0.6 is next to the x you divide both sides by -0.6
-0.6x/-0.6 = -1.2/-0.6
so then you have x=-1.2/-0.6 so
x=2
it's a possitive two because a negitve divided by a negitive is always positive

First you want to isolate x.
0.7x=1.3x-1.2
So subtract 1.3x from both sides to get rid of the x on the right side.
0.7x-1.3x=1.3x-1.2-1.3x
Then you get
-0.6x=-1.2
Then to get x, divide both sides by -0.6, the coefficient (number next to x) of x
-0.6x/-0.6=-1.2/-0.6
x = 2

0.7x = 1.3x - 1.2
0.7x - 0.7x = 1.3x - 1.2 - 0.7x
0 = 0.6x - 1.2
0 + 1.2 = 0.6x - 1.2 + 1.2
1.2 = 0.6x
1.2/0.6 = -0.6x/0.6
1.2/.0.6 = x
2 = x
The answer is x = 2
Insert the x value into the equation
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
0.7x = 1.3x - 1.2
0.7(2) = 1.3(2) - 1.2
1.4 = 2.6 - 1.2
1.4 = 1.4
- - - - - - - - - - -s-

I am probably wrong but i think that your would subract 1.3x from both sides and than wutevers left over is divided by negative 1.2

bring 1.3x on the right side.....
i.e. 1.3x-0.7x=1.2
i.e. 0.6x= 1.2
i.e. x=1.2/0.6
i.e. x=2 [ans]
