Or if its at a Lagrange point, and not moving, it would stay there quite a while, being in gravitational blance between the Earth and Moon.

It would get lost in to the space .By the time the rocket reaches the moon ,the moon would have moved from its previous position .

It would just keep going at the same speed. Anything moving keeps moving until something stops it. Elementary physics.
