I don't know what internet provider you have. If you're on Yahoo!,: (1) Go to your email screen. (2) Click Mail Options. (3) Find Pop-up Blocker and follow the directions. FYI: This stuff can be tricky--we tried it, thinking it would help the situation in the past. We wound up having to re-program some stuff in the computer. I would recommend letting the tech support of your internet provider "walk you through it".

Download the free Google Tool bar. It has a pop up blocker on it, plus some other neat things like free version of Google Earth & G-mail.
