So basically my period usually comes at the end of the month but the month before last i had a major stress attack so it came in the middle of the month (december) now, its february and i haven't had a period yet. I took a pregnancy test on the 31st and it turned out negative, but I still HAVEN'T had my period! Am I pregnant? Should I try another pregnancy test? I don't know what to do.

It could just be stress, go get a blood test they are more accurate anyway

Give yourself a few more days or a week and retest. I took fourteen before I had one to come up positive. You could have a low amount of hcg in your urine. Make sure you are taking the name brand pregnancy test too. This can and will make a difference. The cheap ones that you can get from the dollar stores and the off brand kind are really not that reliable. At least they weren't for me. I knew I was pregnant and I finally got a positive test around eight weeks.
Now I am pregnant with my second and took a cheap one and it turned up positive almost instantly. It all depends on the test. But if you don't get your period soon and the test are still reading negative then you really should see a doctor to rule out pregnancy and to figure out why you are not having your period. There could be an underlying problem.

Take another test first thing in the morning, when you have to pee really bad. This way, the hormone that the test seeks out will be able to build up over the night. It is possible for you to be missing because of stress. Also, if you are on any birth control or if you are approaching menopause(sorry if I offend you, I dont know how old you are), this might also be the case. Dont panic, most of all. If you take the test in the morning and it comes out negative but you still arent convinced, it may be up to a doctor or family planning clinic to determine the status.

That happened to my cousin. She didn't have a period, but her test came up negative. It is possible to miss a period due to stress. But if you feel you are still possibly preg, take a test from the doctor's office or a clinic, and if you are still not convinced, the next step is a maternal blood test. But those can be costly. Home preg tests are pretty accurate. I bought a 4 dollar one at walmart and I was pregnant, but I took 2 from a clinic and at the doctor's off and it was right. So just take another home one and then go from there if you are still skeptical of the results.

Yep. Take another test. If not, go to a dr. it could be a cist or something. Periods don't disappear for two months because of stress. Pee on the stick first thing in the morning. You'll know in less than three min. good luck. P.S. I wanted to be pregnant and I took three tests until it told me.

no, dont worry, unless you want to take another test, tests are 99% true, so i wouldnt worry. if you are stressed that is going to make it worse! just calm down, many women skip a period some months. even if you regularly get your period, sometimes this happens. if you are that worried call your doctor and see what they think. gd luck

Ur probably not pregnant, so just rest and take ur mind off of things so that ur stress level goes down and ur body gets back on balance.

stop stressing. if you had the previous period thrown off, then this one could be too. did you have unprotected sex? that's a big question. go to the doctor if it doesn't come next week. until then, stay calm. stop having unprotected sex until you are ready to have a baby.

stress can change your menstrual cycle and if you're pregnant, it should be long enough to have pregnancy symptoms by now, if you don't have pregnancy symptoms, I wouldn't worry, its probably do to stress. If you have irregular cycles, that can be the reason too

Try another pregnancy test, it can't hurt and might just put your mind at rest.
